Motivation Statement

Challenges arise in many shapes and sizes. Often, we have the privilege to ignore or—better yet—resolve them. However, for the 5,000 babies born every year in Malaysia with a heart defect, the challenge is a matter of survival. For low-income families, the cost of corrective surgery is often out of reach, leaving children at risk of preventable death or lifelong disability. But today we have the blessed opportunity to help. This year, guided by Marlborough College Malaysia’s 3C - Compassion, Companionship, and Conversation, 25 MCM runners will conquer the Half Marathon together and aim to raise RM50,000 for YJKM. We are running to ensure that no child is denied medical treatment due to financial hardship. Every ringgit counts - help us support YJKM’s tireless work in raising awareness and funding critical heart surgeries. Please donate generously now to help us achieve our goal to support our Little Heart Warriors!
