Motivation Statement

I am joining the Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon under Hospis Malaysia through the Run For A Reason initiative because I believe every step I take carries meaning for those battling serious illness. Working in the Emergency Department, I have witnessed cancer patients and their families endure some of life’s most difficult moments, where compassion matters just as much as treatment. This run is more than a physical challenge; it is a symbol of solidarity, dignity, and hope. I run to support quality palliative care and to stand for patients who need comfort, care, and humanity in their most vulnerable time.
