Motivation Statement

When I signed up for my first 21.1km, my grandma was still here. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last October, and our family suddenly had to learn how to care for someone we loved as she became more unwell. That was how Hospis Malaysia came into our lives. Our nurse, Rachel, patiently guided us through pain management and caring for Grandma at home. Having someone to call when we didn’t know what to do made a difficult time feel a little less overwhelming. Grandma apparently approved too 😂 After meeting them, she insisted on donating RM200 to my fundraiser herself. I originally signed up to give her something to look forward to. She passed away before she got to see me run it. So on 4 October, I’ll still be running my first 21.1km, now in memory of Grandma, and to raise funds for Hospis Malaysia. 💙 If you’d like to contribute or share, thank you.
